Allow Afghan students on UK scholarships to take their places this academic year

What the petition asks
The Foreign Office has said the disruption caused by the conflict means the British embassy in Kabul cannot issue visas for students with places already secured. Their visas should be expedited and issued. Please find a way to support the embassy in Kabul to complete the necessary paperwork.
Chevening Scholarships enable excellent students around the world to pursue a masters degree in the UK. By delaying this years submission the educational opportunities of these students are at risk of disappearing under Taliban rule.
It is morally wrong to leave these students behind in an increasingly dangerous situation and deny them of this prestigious, life-changing opportunity, particularly female students who are at high risk of losing their education under Taliban rule.
