Make companies legally responsible for accepting and recycling their old goods

What the petition asks
The UK produces 1.45M tonnes of electronic waste each year, and UK citizens discard around a million tonnes of textiles per year.
Large companies should be made legally responsible for accepting and recycling old goods they have produced to minimise waste and promote circular goods chains.
Companies continue to be driven by sales while taking too little responsibility for the environmental consequences; the Government should create legislation that enforces greater corporate responsibility for recycling rates.
