Increase the allowance for carers of higher rate disability benefit claimants

What the petition asks
Increase financial support through Carer's Allowance for carers providing care to those whose disabilities mean they have a greater need for a greater level of care.
There are higher rates of award associated with disability benefits such as the Personal Independence Rate. The higher rate is awarded to a person depending on the assessment scores received if their disability has a bigger impact on a person and the extent of care they require.
If the person being cared for is receiving the higher rate of a disability benefit, the rate of Carer's Allowance for their carer should be increased to reflect the enhanced level of care and time required to care for them.
