Do not allow schools to force students to keep their blazer on whilst in school
Rejected
17 signatures
What the petition asks
To stop schools from forcing students to keep their blazers on whilst at school. Detention is being threatened to students of some schools if they try to remove their blazer at school. Spending this time feeling uncomfortably hot could affect their learning potential, and may cause ill health.
Forcing students to keep their blazer on if they are hot can affect their learning, they would struggle to concentrate and not be able to focus properly on the lesson. In hot weather this could also potentially cause them to become ill as they may faint, get heatstroke, feel sick, or become dehydrated etc.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or House of Commons is responsible for.
