Ban smoking in all public places

What the petition asks
Research confirms the harmful effects second hand smoke (passive smoking) has on health. Make it illegal to smoke in all public areas (the street, beaches, parks, restaurant/public house gardens) to protect children and non smokers from carcinogenic toxins.
Secondhand smoke causes cancer in adults who have never smoked. Children exposed to SHS have a 40% increased risk of bladder cancer later in life. Nonsmokers who are exposed to secondhand smoke have an increased risk of developing cancer by 20–30%.
It is unfair for children & non-smokers to be exposed to cancer causing toxins when walking down the street or whilst out shopping.
Private establishments can provide enclosed designated smoking areas if required.
