What the petition asks

There is too much knife crime and it’s getting worse. I want the government to change the law and make it mandatory that if you get caught carrying a knife it’s minimum 5 years in prison . And if you use a knife it’s minimum of life .

The laws at the moment are not a deterrent and criminals are carrying knives like we carry our phones. There needs to be a strict punishment if caught with a bladed article.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
