Prioritise visa applications awaiting decision for more than 6 months

Closed 2,166 signatures

What the petition asks

Many applications to remain in the UK have been awaiting decision for months if not years.
As the applicants could lose residency rights if they leave the country while decisions being made, their personal and professional life have massively been affected.

The limbo they are in has a big impact. They can't see loved ones, travel to
support seriously sick relatives or even attend close family member's funerals that are abroad. Most of them have been struggling to secure or keep a job because employers don't like uncertainty. The same applies when renting a new home, getting a mortgage and so on.

They are in a desperate situation and want to freely travel and work without the risk of losing their residency rights.
