Reform PIP rules and create a dedicated fund to support cancer patients

What the petition asks
To better support cancer patients the Government should extend the special rules that enable fast-track claims for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) to all cancer patients, and create a new fund to provide additional financial support to cancer patients.
As a cancer patient, financial stress is the last thing needed on top of everything else.
The PIP special circumstances should apply for all cancer patients not just if you might have less than 6 months to live. Cancer patients need help immediately, not to have months of filling in forms and having extra appointments.
Many cancer patients are also not eligible for employment or welfare benefits, and a bespoke fund to support cancer patients should be created to fill this gap.
