What the petition asks
Do not remove the Universal credit uplift and make it a once in a generation major increase in social security.
In another life maybe not yourself. Maybe a next door neighbor, a friend fallen on hard times, a single mother juggling the job she was lucky to get, someone who even before covid was at the edge. This is a chance. A once in a generation pledge to social security. We understand. Times have increased prosperity for many but it's out hardship on many as well. This is the adjustment and evidence has shown it has help so so much and more importantly can continue to help more and more.
