Make ‘Environmental Education’ a compulsory separate subject in all schools.

Closed 36 signatures

What the petition asks

Climate Change is now in full flow and we need to ensure that schools are covering this issue separately from other subjects. It is currently taught in small chunks and deserves prominence as the biggest issue affecting our planet right now.
It is obvious that ‘Environmental Education’ needs to be a distinct subject, rather than being scattered across the Geography and Science curriculum. It is taught in a varied way and much of the content is optional and so it should be made a compulsory subject.
