IVF free treatment on the NHS
Rejected
20 signatures
What the petition asks
Up to £5000 for one cycle of IVF - London rates are £9000 and above
Discrimination against the individuals who have fertility treatment.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We understand you're concerned about access to in vitro fertilisation (IVF), however IVF is already provided on the NHS so it's not clear what is you'd like the Government to do. Final decisions about who can have NHS-funded IVF in England are a clinical matter for local clinical commissioning groups (CCGs), and are not something for which the UK Government or Parliament is responsible.
You can find out more about NHS-provided IVF here: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/ivf/.
You could have a petition calling on the Government to provide the NHS with additional funding for fertility treatments, if that is something you'd like to see happen.
