Start an initiative to build secure truck stops, functional to drivers needs.

Rejected 20 signatures

What the petition asks

Start building secure compounds for truck drivers to rest and park on haulage routes.
There is a massive decline in the respect for drivers. first a lack of truck parking and rejection at food establishments. nobody wants truck drivers around. £25-£40 just to park overnight, dirty showers, and unsold, dried food that is overpriced. Not only have they been rejected from towns and cities. Trucks are robbed daily because there is no secure facility. Why would anyone want to go back to that? zero safe truck parking facilities, and restrictions are making the job undesirable.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Decisions about municipal car parks specifically for truck drivers would be a matter for individual local authorities or other landowners, not the Government or House of Commons.

As a result it is not possible for the Government or House of Commons to take the action you have requested.
