What the petition asks
Abolish Ofsted.
Ofsted is past its sell by date and is now an arm of the Tory government. The opinions of a few inspectors can condemn good, inclusive schools in deprived areas. It is no good for parents as it inspects the things that concern few and doesn’t inspect what counts, e.g #everychildmatters.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We understand you'd like Ofsted to be abolished, but we're not sure whether you want to remove any inspection of schools, or for Ofsted to be replaced with something else.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
