To prevent the addition of flouride and lithium into UK water supplies.

Rejected 17 signatures

What the petition asks

To remove/prevent any added fluoride or lithium from the water supply, and only allow the cleaning of water to take place. It is the choice of the public to be medicated, and should not be done without consent. There is no clear evidence that fluoride is safe for long term consumption (cancer risk).
The NHS website states: 'Consent to treatment means a person must give permission before they receive any type of medical treatment, test or examination.'
For the Gov to add anything to the water other than for cleaning, would mean that they are medicating the public without consent. It is gross negligence of the publics welfare, and is a direct violation of Articles 3 and 8. It pertains to article 3 as it is degrading and inhumane; Article 8 as it means that private lives are not respected.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

There's already a petition about the inclusion of fluoride in all UK drinking water, which you can sign here:

Do not put fluoride in all tap water.

We're not aware of any proposals from the UK Government or Parliament to include lithium in water supplies.
