Approve the exchange of non-EU driving licences to British ones
Rejected

What the petition asks
Currently most of the non-EU drivers have to study to get a British driving licence if they are staying in the UK more than a year. I suggest to add other non-EU countries to the list of counterparties from which driving licences can be exchanged
Personally, I have a Moldovan driving licence and I can drive a lorry in my home country but I cannot drive it here and help the UK during such tough times (facing high demand for lorry drivers and drivers in general) because driving licences from my home country are not exchangeable. I am sure there are more people like me who are in the same situation.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We understand you'd like the exchange of driving licences from countries outside the EU, but we're not sure if you'd like this to apply to all countries, or only specific ones.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
