Hold a public enquiry into media scaremongering over non-existent fuel shortage.

What the petition asks
The Government must hold a public enquiry into the scaremongering by the media and social media platforms which has led to the panic buying of fuel.
This has caused a national issue which was unnecessary and has now consumed unnecessary governmental and national resources which could have been better spent elsewhere. It is a misuse of a position of privilege by media outlets and social media platforms and that is grossly irresponsible.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the content of media reporting.
