Wipe Student Debts for Tuition Fees for University Students Affect by Covid
Closed

What the petition asks
The Government must nullify the tuition debt of all students affected by the pandemic/lockdowns during 2020-2021 and 2021-2022. This will allow affected students to be relieved of a burden that was unfairly placed on them, and to focus on their careers without worry.
Higher Education during these times have not been up to scratch. With the 2020-2021 educational year being fully online for most and with some universities either keeping that rule or modifying it slightly (e.g. 25% online) for the 2021-2022 year, It is unacceptable for students to be expected to pay back for an education that was drastically affected by this crisis. Combined with extenuating circumstances and no extra-curricular activities we believe the value of our education has plummeted.
