Free train fares for Under 18s in London

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

The current amount paid by students, 11-18, for pay as you go train fares is £0.75 to a daily fare of £2.25.

We want you to make train fares free for all under 18 year olds, just as is the case with busses.
95.5% of young Londoners said are against any plans to cut free travel for under 18s. Travel and public transport means a lot to young people, as it gives them freedom and independence. Some teenager struggle to afford train fares, meaning they aren't able to explore this great city.

64.1% of young people said that they were worried that their parents would struggle to meet ends with them if they had to pay for their train fare. Train fare should be free for young people!
