Allow the same cancellation method for online subscriptions and auto-renewals

What the petition asks
Many companies still require customers to phone in order to cancel subscriptions and auto renewals despite allowing new customers to sign up online. Please can you make it a legal requirement to allow online cancellation methods such as via online account or email if online sign up available.
Phone calls often take in excess of 30 minutes and in some cases are used to exert undue pressure on people to stay. If a company wants to allow simple online sign up then logically it should be a requirement that accounts can then be managed and cancelled online also. Such a law would encourage excellent digital practices. Companies wishing to only allow phone cancellation would only be allowed to offer phone sign up so it would be a clear and consistent user experience.
