Change the way care staff are paid within Social care.

Rejected 18 signatures

What the petition asks

My staff do not get paid by the council for travel time. My staff can spend up to 10 hours a week travelling round to our clients homes. They get paid mileage but not travelling time.
Because it is not a fare system the government are putting our national insurance up. They said it was to sort out the social care crisis. This is a lie they are giving the money to the NHS for 3 years.THIS IS NOT GOID ENOUGH WE ate desperate in health and social care.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or House of Commons is responsible for.

Decisions about pay for care workers are a matter for individual local authorities and other care providers, not the Government or House of Commons. As a result it is not possible for the Government or House of Commons to take the action you have requested.
