Make club entry searches mandatory to help reduce spiking

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Make all nightclubs have mandatory searches to help reduce the levels of spikings in clubs. This should not only include checking for pills but also for needles and other means.
Spiking in clubs is making a huge increase recently with hospital admissions for spiking soaring. Many already protect themselves by covering their drinks to prevent pills or other such being added to their drink. However, recently spikers have turned to injecting victims, and so with no searches to restrict this entry, there is no defence against it. We need to make clubbing safe.
