Allow hemp to be used for more than "industrial use of the seed and fibre"

What the petition asks
Change the controlled drug domestic license for hemp to allow all uses and not just "industrial use of the seed and fibre". This includes but is not limited to: extraction and distillation of CBD oils, tinctures and concentrates, bio and cooking oils, building materials, textiles and fabrics.
The current rules regarding the production and use of the industrial hemp plant are outdated.
Our country could benefit so much more from the many uses of the plant, including helping reduce our current carbon footprint and helping to alleviate sleep and eating disorders, anxiety, depression, stress and minor muscle and joint pain.
We believe the benefits to the environment, construction industry and the overall health and wellbeing of our country will improve if only we are given the chance.
