What the petition asks

I wish it to be made illegal to pierce a babies ears and all non professional establishments like (Claires) causing blunt force trauma to sieze the act of piercing immediately

The body modification industry is utterly appauled that the act of piercing a babies ears is still, in 2021 a legal thing to do. Not only that but it is being carried out by non professionals (Claires) using equipment that causes blunt force trauma to the baby causing extreme pain and discomfort. The baby has no say and piercing the ears of the baby is a vanity act for the parent and serves no medical purpose.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
