Fund Free Period Products - it is not a LUXURY.

Closed 155 signatures

What the petition asks

Period products should be free of charge. Having a period is not a luxury. Periods are not only painful, they are unsafe without sanitary products, and an unaffordable, UNCONTROLLABLE function.
Sex is controllable, and free. Periods are not, and deserve free protection too.

STDs occur because of a choice, protection against them is free. Periods are not, infections must be prevented.

According to a 2015 survey by VoucherCodesPro.co.uk, sanitary products are costing women on average £13 per month, putting women who cannot afford this at risk.

On top of this, the survey said women spend on average £14.50 per month on pain relief and replacement underwear - these are not essential. Sanitary products are the BARE MINIMUM.

This is not 'raise money for', or 'give free to the impoverished', this is 'GIVE US OUR HUMAN RIGHT'.
