What the petition asks

Piercing guns cause blunt force trauma to tissue on the body and can cause cartilage to shatter if pierced ( nose etc ).

A professional studio using a hollow needle will simply make a slot for the jewellery to fit in and therefore does not cause the above issues

All piercing guns are re-used and made of plastic, therefore cannot be put in an autoclave to be sterilised at all.

They are wiped with an alcohol wipe, which does not kill any viruses such as hepatitis, HIV or similar.

Those with immature or compromised immune systems are at a very high risk of catching these infections due to the constant use of piercing guns.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
