What the petition asks
Indeterminate prisoners should not be imprisoned when they have been recalled for:
1/ Criminal offence and found not guilty in court.
2/ Criminal charges that have been dropped and no further investigation.
3/ Arrested for offence and no further action to be taken

Recall of an IPP prisoner affects their mental health and can cause anxiety and depression, with potentially tragic consequences. The thought of being detained indefinitely all over again is unbearable to both IPP prisoners and their families. There has been much research into the IPP sentence.
