What the petition asks
Provide more school buses for primary school children to get to school
I'm single mum of 5 kids and I know many other parents struggle to get on the bus because teenagers have no consideration for mums with little kids need to get on the bus to get to school. How ever if there was a bus specifically for primary school children this would help out a lot of parents who rely on public transport.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about school buses are a matter for individual local authorities, not the Government or Parliament. As a result it is not possible for the Government or Parliament to take the action you have requested.
If you are concerned about decisions about school transport in your area you could raise this issue with a local councillor, who represents you. You can use this page to find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them: https://www.gov.uk/find-your-local-councillors
