What the petition asks
The Government should provide funding, and exemptions to animal testing requirements, to support the development of a vaccine for Covid-19 that has not been tested on animals or used animal products.
We believe animal testing is immoral and ineffective and has no place when alternatives exist.
We believe animal testing is immoral and ineffective and has no place when alternatives exist.
The UK Government wants people to get vaccinated in order to end the Covid pandemic, yet many people whose moral stance and fundamental beliefs prohibits them from harming others feel unable to receive vaccines that have been tested on animals or used animal products in their development.
The Government has a duty of care to all its citizens and in not providing a vaccine that has not been tested on animals and not used animal products, is putting lives at risk.
