Increase Carers Allowance warning threshold inline with minimum wage increases

What the petition asks
Minimum wage is set to be increased in April 2022. Many unpaid carers work alongside there duties, ensuring they do not earn over the £128 pw. Increase Carers Allowance earning threshold to increase inline with minimum wage increases enabling them to continue to work the same hours.
Unpaid carers are already paid a low amount despite saving the government thousands in paid carers and not being able to work full time. Many work in employment alongside their caring to up up income, capped at £128pw equal to 14hrs at min wage. A min wage increase means carers must drop hours to fall below threshold, which many employers may not accommodate. Carers allowance threshold should increase inline with minimum wage to ensure working hours can continue as normal.
