Make all health care assistants in hospitals a band 3

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

HCA’s in the Nhs are band 2, HCA’s are the most patient facing staff in the Nhs.
We are doing clinical observations that are not in our job description but without the willingness of HCA’s to do this the Nhs would struggle even more.
As the national minimum wage rises to £9.50. The pay for a band 2 hca stays at around £10.18 an hour.
I call for all band 2 hca’s to be moved to a band 3

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The NHS is responsible for decisions around pay bands for healthcare assistants, rather than the Government. You could start a petition asking the Government to review the pay of healthcare assistants more widely.
