What the petition asks
A bubble barrier is a green solution that was found to stop 86% of plastic reaching the ocean during a recent test in the river IJessel in the Netherlands. It is said to be easy to install and very efficient. The Government should fund multiple bubble barriers for the Thames.
Multiple bubble barriers in the Thames should stop most plastic from reaching the ocean, helping to preserve wildlife and the plastic that the bubble barrier stops could be collected and recycled.
