Ban use of all non biodegradable virgin plastics for packaging by 2023

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

In a bid to reduce plastic waste, France is banning plastic packaging for nearly all fruit and vegetables from January 2022, the environment ministry has announced.

The UK should be doing the same.
Biologists, scientists and doctors have made us all aware of the vast damage virgin plastic non-biodegradable packaging is causing.

We believe that it is vital the government bans production of the petrochemical based virgin plastics to prevent furthering the catastrophic effects they are causing.

Our natural marine life and land biodiversity is at huge risk.

Micro plastics are causing serious health risks to our lives.

There are many alternatives for packaging.
