Accommodate special dietary requirements in all UK schools and colleges
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
Schools should be able to provide healthy and nutritious meals for people with special dietary requirements in order to accommodate to a wider means of society.
I am a 16 year old student with special dietary requirements, and throughout my education, I have felt disadvantaged to my peers due to not being able to access a nutritious meal at break and lunchtime.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
The UK Government is only responsible for education in England, as this is a devolved matter in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
We could accept a petition calling on the Government to amend the healthy eating standards for England, but you would need to be clear what changes you want to be made to these standards.
