Make it mandatory to ask what is the definition of consent before entering clubs

Rejected 16 signatures

What the petition asks

I want the government to pass a bill making it illegal to enter a club if you can not explain what consent is at the door.
To be able to stop and prevent sexual assault, rape or any other unwanted sexual acts against the public, the knowledge of consent should be present. Being able to put a stop towards harassment and assault, we need to understand as a nation that we know what consent is.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Your petition calls for it to be made illegal to enter a club if you can not explain what consent is, but it's not clear what explanation you want guests to be required to give in order to be able to enter a club.

In any case, it is up to individual hospitality venues, not the Government what to ask guests on entry.
