Ban MPs from paid lobbying

What the petition asks
The Government should ban MPs from taking payments from organisations and individuals to lobby on their behalf.
An MP's basic salary is approximately £82,000pa. Payments from outside agencies gives the appearance and opportunity for corrupt practice. Politics must be clean and seen to be clean. Additional money and gifts should not be accepted. £82,000 is a very good salary that most people would like and be able to live on. If £82,000 is deemed too little by some, they can always resign and find work in the private sector.
