stop government from making vehicle modification/software modification illegal

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

Stop the government from making physical and software modifications on automotive vehicles illegal.
Because they abuse and manipulate the industry regulations to allow them to capitalise off of people just enjoying their vehicles and also have practical reasons for vehicle modifications.

Car modifying is a multi-billion pound industry and these proposals will get watered down massively.

If jobs are lost and economic productivity falls Its hard to see where the benefit is to be honest.

This must stop immediately before it endangers thousands of businesses and the economy itself.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. Vehicle modifications aren't illegal in all circumstances. The Government are currently considering proposals on vehicle tampering, which you can read here:

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do, such as not making the proposed changes.
