What the petition asks
To commemorate the Queen’s Jubilee the UK Government should provide resources for a tree planting programme to plant a native tree for each UK resident (at least 5% to be oak, beech or elm) in a patchwork across England.
As a fitting and long lasting tribute to the Queen for decades of service to the country, to benefit the national environment, assist in the battle against climate change and to foster enthusiasm across the country for planting trees.
