Increase wage for all care home staff Have them be recognised as skill workers

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

All care staff to complete an NVQ 2 & 3 then become a skilled, qualified worker for their wage to be increased to a minimum of £10 an hour for NVQ 2 and £11 an hour for NVQ 3
Before the world pandemic, Carers (not NHS) weren’t recognised at all, or care work was classed as “anyone can do it” we were not given the credit we deserve, staff in retail are now on more money than those who are looking after peoples lives. It’s always been a badly paid job, long hours, and Care industry is now so poor, we cant recruit others are getting more for a less stressful position in retail. There are now over 160,000 positions to fill. The wage will help this. Parliament can help us
