Allow parents to watch Christmas Nativity/show in schools

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

As a parent, it is outrageous that we are unable to watch our children take part in their Christmas Nativity shows, yet we can attend huge events, stadiums, pubs and clubs. Parents have missed out on so many memory making events, this virus should not be taking this away for another year.
Children need normality. Parents need normality. A Christmas show where everyone is wearing masks should be safe enough to allow our children to light up when they see their parents watch them perform a special show.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

There are no national restrictions that prevent parents from attending performances hosted by schools, and decisions about any local restrictions are a matter for individual local authorities and schools, not the Government or Parliament.

As a result it is not possible for the Government or Parliament to take the action you have requested.
