Introduction of Bill.

What the petition asks
Introduce a Bill to effect the necessary legislation to force MPs who have rented out property in London purchased via expenses gained from the taxpayer to immediately repay all monies to the Treasury.
Because whilst it is acceptable for public servants to be reimbursed for expenses incurred whilst performing their duties, it is immoral for MPs to acquire a property portfolio and/or a source of income at the taxpayers' expense, especially when said property is not being used by the MP.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) is responsible for deciding on MPs' expenses and pay. IPSA is independent of both Parliament and Government.
