Commission a review into the diagnosis and treatment of SIBO
Closed
537 signatures
What the petition asks
We would like the Government to review how the NHS manages Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), to ensure patients are consistently and effectively diagnosed and treated.
We need to improve the treatment of this complex disorder. Finding root causes are the way forward but this can take time & education of our consultants. What's happening is patients in some areas will be diagnosed but there is no follow upon treatment. It takes time to cure this disorder & can take a few rounds & tests to cure SIBO. Some areas aren’t even able to test for it or offer treatment.
