Ban sale and use of Leaf Blowers
Closed
69 signatures
What the petition asks
Ban the sale and use of leaf blowers throughout the UK. They are noisy, polluting, can kill small animals, and can easily be replaced with more quiet, environmentally friendly gardening tools.
Petrol powered leaf blowers can emit massive amounts of pollution - hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides as well as carbon monoxide.
Even when electric alternatives are used, they cause noise disturbance and distress to both people and wildlife. Additionally, many small animals can be injured or killed due to leaf blowing, in particular insects.
