What the petition asks
Stop covid / vaccine passports being introduced in NI.
Covid passports are being proposed in NI. These passes have not been shown to produce any significant impact on covid transmission in many countries where they have been adopted. They also have the potential to be discriminatory and divisive and should be challenged as an abuse of governmental powers. Covid passports must be rejected.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Decisions relating to covid-19 restrictions in Northern Ireland are a matter for the Northern Ireland Executive, not the UK Government or Parliament.
