Legalise cannabis for recreational use in the UK

What the petition asks
Legalise the recreational use of cannabis in the UK.
For years many people have been using cannabis for many different purposes, whether it is to have a good time or treat medical or psychological problems and I think that people should not be punished for doing so. Cannabis is among the safest drugs and is proven to be less harmful than things like tobacco and alcohol and I think it is extremely unfair to deprive people from cannabis, and punish people for using or owning it. Many other countries have done this and it’s time for the UK to follow.
