What the petition asks

We want the government to create parity and standardisation across UK/English laws with regards professional (veterinary) negligence to take into account bills that have recently been passed on sentient animals having more impact on legal outcomes and sentancing in negligence claims.

Therefore, should a dog or animal die or come to harm either 'directly' or 'indirectly' from a professionally regulated veterinarian's 'actions' OR 'omissions', of which could have been reasonably foreseen and prevented by a professional of a similar training, then the animal or pet in question, in negligence proceedings, should not mearly be viewed as property, but a sentient being that has come to harm and/or had suffering caused. This law will be known as Annie's Law.
