Scrap the 48 hours average for mobile workers

Rejected 19 signatures

What the petition asks

Scrap the 48 hour average working time limit for mobile workers and just have a 60 hour maximum working a week.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you want to see changes to limits on working hours for mobile workers, but we're not sure if you mean professional drivers, or other people whose work involves moving around.

People can already opt out of the 48 hour working time regulations, and it's not clear if you want the 60 hour limit you have proposed to be mandatory, of have a similar opt out.

The 48 hour working time regulations apply to all workers, but there are specific driving limits for professional drivers: https://www.gov.uk/drivers-hours/gb-domestic-rules

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
