What the petition asks
It is about time all UK residents carried identity cards, to help combat all forms of benefit fraud. To help combat voting fraud. Etc.
The military already carry them, it would help the police and Border force to combat illegal immigrants working here.

It will progressively become more nessassary to introduce identity cards to all our population, to help combat crime in all forms.
It will assist our NHS to charge non nationals for services.
Will help our immigration services and Border Guards.
It will become more accepted as time goes on.

Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you want a requirement to carry ID to be introduced, but it's not clear if you also want the Government to introduce additional requirements, such as for ID to be checked before people can vote, or additional requirements for claiming benefits.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
