Give Men and Women equal pay
Rejected
12 signatures
What the petition asks
Women have 79% of the male salary if they have the same job and it’s not enough. They should be getting payed an equal amount of money if they have the same job, women should have equal rights to men.
Although and adjusted percent is 95% of the average male salary it’s still not 100%
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The terms and conditions, including pay, of employees is a matter for them, their employer, and any relevant trade unions. This means the UK Government is not directly responsible for the action this petition calls for.
You could have a petition calling on the Government to devise a strategy to reduce the gender pay gap to zero, if that is something you'd like to see happen.
