Remove South Africa from the 'red travel list' as Omicron is now in 57 countries
Rejected
18 signatures
What the petition asks
We know that the WHO has identified at least 57 countries with Omicron variant...
After this knowledge why is South Africa and others still on the red travel list?
Why has UK not added all of 57 countries for the same reason?
Why not just remove all these countries from red list?
After this knowledge why is South Africa and others still on the red travel list?
Why has UK not added all of 57 countries for the same reason?
Why not just remove all these countries from red list?
Because it makes no sense to leave these countries on the travel red list since 57 other countries already have Omicron virus and will just as easily spread it in the UK as they enter via plane/boat/train.
Why it was rejected
The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.
