Make it a requirement for a general election to be held when a PM leaves office

What the petition asks
When a Prime Minister leaves office before a scheduled general election, whatever the reason, it should be compulsory for a General Election to be held immediately upon a new Prime Minister assuming office.
The public's perception of the leader of a political party at the time of a General Election can determine whether or not that party becomes the next government. If an elected Prime Minister leaves office for any reason, we believe the electorate should be given the opportunity to vote, or not, for the governing party based on the choice of a new leader. Governments should not be allowed to change their leaders without the approval of the electorate.
